Basically he just doesn't want to get flamed because he's new to the game, that's at least what I got from it.
You're right - so far whenever I say stuff like this in-game all I get is 'god, 4K is nothing, dude' and 'lmfao, thirty Charr is easy, wait until you get to blah-blah-blah'; so I was just admitting that my victories are indeed small in the grand scheme of things.

Warrior's are a notorious choice for "first characters", although I'm not sure why.
For me it was because it was the least intimidating character. I'd never played an MMO before, but I felt like I could be competent with a Warrior because I guessed (hoped) that without all the magic and spells to figure out I could play it more like the hack-n-slash action RPGs I was used to. All the talk of regen rates, pips, and various effects freaked me out at the beginning. I still say GW has a tough learning curve.

You will find yourself dying more because you're a front-line-guy. You need to be in the middle of a mob, face to face, glaring at your enemy over locked swords whilst everyone else yells encouragement and hurls fireballs from a distance.
So you're saying that Warriors are expected to kick off regularly?

lmfao. the exact same thing happened to me. Had Gw since the beginning and had a warrior until the november of that year. Then i saw i only had like 3k which was ridiculously low and i was doing terribly. So I go ahead and make my female ranger. BAM. she is now my main character and my all time most prosperous/favorite character.
Haha, I swear there's something wrong with the Warrior.

Thanks for all the encouragement and advice, everyone. I got to Yak's Bend with her and things are still cool.

I think its a normal experience. My second character (my necro) went much eaiser in the game then my first (my ele) just because I had game mechanics down. However, over time, I grew bored of my necro and hardly ever play her anymore. Now, my ele has 3 times the xp of any of my other characters and is still my favorite.

Eh... everybody has a different experience/story to tell.

A lot of people start out with a Warrior since it's considered the quintessential newbie class by many. And for good reason(Wammos anyone?). It's simplistic to play compared to most classes, as you just pick a weapon, stock up on adrenaline skills, and push the pretty buttons when they light up. Although there can be more depth to it, it's a class that can still be moderately effective with a mediocre build and a mediocre player behind it. And lets face it, most of the time the casters only concern is that the meatheads keep things busy enough for them to pull off their big spells, which any warrior can do effectively just by charging out front.

Here in my Armour +80 i feel safest of all. Hand me a Fiery Dragon Sword and my exalted aegis... I'll balance the battle. Dont worry about that.

Friggin Amen. all my characters are females for that reason.

What's wrong with a warrior? You probably have frenzy on your bar.

You keep dying because of that.

You're not even a fifth through the game, you gotta give it time for the riches to roll.

Yea amen to that! Warrior's a good Profession when and if you can use them. Best choice for running locations.

Good frontline defense. Hard-tanking offense. (Tanking warrior's arent dead, not yet )

I love being a warrior.

Gotta disagree with you on the running, D/A's really usurped the spot as #1 runners shortly after Nightfall came out.

And Warriors in GW aren't as much about tanking as they are about dishing out physical damage and putting the pressure on the enemy casters. GW doesn't require tanking on the same level as other MMORPGs.

This sounds kind of like what happened to me, my very first character was a mesmer (lol), which i absolutely HATED (go figure). I basically forced myself to get him to level 20 and max armor, then against my better judgement I IMMEDIATELY made an elementalist. This instantly made me like this game, as inside I am just a bit of a pyro

It's kind of hard to know what sort of character you will like when you don't even know what the characters do :\
